My freind wants to draw a picture of a dressage draft but i couldn't find any pictures of draft horses on google. So dose anyone have any pictures of a draft horse competing in dressage?
(sorry if this isn't int the right forum)

Try searching for images of Cottonwood Flame. Percheron stallion who successfully competed a few years back.

I'm pretty proud of the Clydesdale mare that I'm part-boarding. She's working training/1st level at the moment, but I'm confident she'll get to at least 3rd.

she's cute!
i was riding a first level dressage Shire gelding, and he was schooling second. here are some pictures...
I would give my freind these, but i want something more for her to work with!

I also have been toying with the idea of geting a draft mare!

Horsebaroque-- the link you're trying to put up is to your email... not the photo. That would be why you're running into problems.
DD-- just curious-- in your photos are you riding the horse in a gag bit? or is the photo just funky? curious

I took a look...Looks a like a 3 ring elevator bit? I used one briefly on my gelding, the mouth piece was single jointed.

Yup, that's a three-ring elevator (also known as a dutch gag, a continental gag, a Pessoa, or a three-ring "bubble bit"). Single rein on the lowest ring

. Not going to kill the horse, certainly, but not good, either.

One of my favorite horses to photograph is an Irish Draught stallion named KEC Double Diamond. He is currently working at FEI level dressage. If you want to see some pictures of him take a look at
http://web.sendtoprint.net/proofbook/login.asp
and use the keywords Oisin and Georgia - he is the chestnut stallion

blueyedrider: yes, that's a Elevator bit, I guess the owner felt that he needed something with more controll because she was doing cross country with him. I got to exersise him so i just did as i was told.

Here's my pb perch Tom (a couple of years old). I started him as a baby, he is 9 now and still makes me giggle. They are tons of fun to have around.

Zigster, your horse looks so much like my brown-headed roan! And I love the draft-hackney cross. Beautiful!

There was a pure bred 2000 lb Percheron at the last John Lassiter clinic ridden by a 15 year old girl who weighed all of 90 lbs. It was her grandfather's and one of the leaders from his team. His name was Joker. this horse was amazing. He was learning leg yielding and to improve his canter.

His picture is on page 53.
